This month our Business of the Month award goes to Ballinger’s Barber Shop! Providing services for the past 49 years, Ballinger’s has been an enduring and cherished feature of the Carlinville Community. In 2003, the Barber Shop opened its new location at 125 N Broad St, where it remains today. Bob offers men’s haircuts for $11. Hours of business are 6am – 5pm, Monday thru Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Walk-ins are welcome. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 217-854-4152. The Carlinville Community Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce new summer hours to better accommodate the Carlinville community during this busy season.
Our new hours are 9am - 12pm and then 1pm - 4pm, Monday through Friday.
During this time we are available via phone, email or you can stop in visit Katie and Michael at our office on the historic downtown Carlinville square!

CHS Graduation
Carlinville High School will host commencement exercises for the Class of 2012 on Sunday, May 27th.
The event takes place in the Carlinville High School gym and is free and open to the public.
Come join us as we celebrate the accomplishments of the Carlinville High School Class of 2012!
MCHS Strawberry Festival
Enjoy your Memorial Day weekend to the tune of bluegrass music during this eventful weekend by the Macoupin County Historical Society. Featured this year are several attractions, including a huge craft show with over 150 booths, a toy show, tractor pulls, antique machinery, a country church and one room schoolhouse, as well as an old-time country store, blacksmith shop, and print shop.
Museum tours of the Anderson Mansion, showcasing a wealth of Macoupin and the surrounding area's history will be available.
Festival admission and parking is free and open to the public.
The event runs from 9am - 4pm on Saturday, May 26th and Sunday, May 27th.
